Meet Thomas Faro

My family and I have proudly called Milan home since 2017. Our daughter graduated from Milan High School in 2024, and our son is a member of the Class of 2027.

I was elected to the Milan Area Schools Board of Education in 2020 and have served as Trustee, Treasurer, Vice President, and currently Board President. I am also a member of the City's Senior Services Advisory Committee and served the Milan community as President of the Uptown Village HOA from 2019 to 2026.

Professionally, I serve as Executive Director of the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association, where I lead a statewide organization serving more than 92,000 players, manage a $3 million budget, and oversee a staff of 12.

I love the Milan Area Schools community and believe we have important work ahead. I value strong academics, safe and welcoming schools, and clear, open communication among students, families, and staff. I respect our educators and believe in thoughtful, responsible stewardship of district resources. Above all, I will always put our students first and support them so they can reach their fullest potential.
